What’s In A Name, Divide and Conquer, Subjugation

By, Glen Reaux

A name historically was a means of identifying or describing an individual or place.  Sir names like Smith, Walker and Butcher were symbolic of an individual’s occupation while Great Lakes and White House bore descriptions or characteristics of these places of importance.  By design, naming is one of the tools that societies use to communicate ideas.   And, throughout history, people have become conditioned to trust in a name.  Names were not meant to have secret meanings or be used to deceive, until now.  Enter the era of American politics and the use of names becomes a curtain devised to hide motivations of deceit, dishonesty, greed,  the politics of Divide and Conquer and the goal of controlling the masses also known as subjugation.  While the desire by special interest to subjugate targeted groups of people may seem like some nutty conspiracy theory, the facts lay in plain sight, right before your very eyes.  Just examine the circumstances or evidence found behind certain names.

A prime example of a deceptive name is Federal Reserve.  The Federal Reserve is a privately owned corporation of member banks, investors and stockholders that regulate the nation’s economy and mints its currency.  It is not a branch of the Federal government nor is it accountable to the government.  But this name by design is intended to make its monopoly and control of the American public through its economic policies more palatable to the general public.  This deception was made possible when Congress passed the Federal Reserve Act of 1913.  The Federal Reserve Act gives the power to regulate the nation’s money supply, interest rates, control inflation and lending to a private banking cartel, not the people.  Your votes as a citizen have absolutely no impact on economic policies implemented by the Federal Reserve, none what so ever.  Under current laws, your senators and congressmen do not have the legal power to regulate this cartel.  You did not vote for these people, they do not answer to you and you are powerless to defend against their economic rule.  Also, in 1913, the 16th Amendment was ratified, permanently legalizing a federal income tax.

Right-to-work laws sounds like laws designed to protect workers when in actuality right-to-work laws do just the opposite.  Such laws were designed to allow companies to restrict worker’s rights and legalize employee firings without cause.  Similarly the United States Chamber of Commerce sounds very constructive and expressive of devotion to our country or being patriotic.  This organization has expressed its patriotism by becoming the largest lobbying group in the country spending over $130 million from January 2010 to December 2016.  This amount does not include millions of dollars in contributions to think tanks and other organizations that have helped to draft legislation and promote their causes.  Monies from the US Chamber of commerce have been used to foster right-to-work legislation, legislation to curtail and destroy unions and legislation on behalf of three legacy industries, banking, tobacco and fossil fuel industries.

More than promoting commerce, their lobbying efforts have been focused on defeating environmental protections, consumer financial rights and destroying anti-smoking legislation globally.  On August 23, 1971, the chamber commissioned a memorandum titled “Attack on the American Free Enterprise System.”  It was an anti-new deal plan to retake America for corporate America from the American consumer movement which was triggered by consumer activist Ralph Nader.  The document which was to later become known as the Powell Memo , became the blueprint for a corporate takeover of all three branches of American government through the use of campaign contributions, higher education funding, think tank development and the establishment of a dark money infrastructure which includes the Citizens United Supreme Court Decision.  The Powell Memo is the road-map to the corporate culture that is fueling the Republican Divide and Conquer political strategies (aka conservatism) used to wage a war that subjugates the American people.  The Powell Memo is a must read and should be taught alongside the constitution in secondary schools and colleges.

Other patriotic sounding deceptive names belong to some of the largest lobbying and dark money groups in the country.  Americans for Job Security sounds like a group of citizens with a mission to promote workers rights.  Instead, the organization is a Virginia based not-for-profit, pro-business league whose only purpose is to fund attack ads against Democrats.  Between 2002 and 2008 the organization spent $9 million attacking Democratic Senate candidates and President Obama.  Americans for Prosperity founded in 2004, is a so-called conservative political advocacy group funded by David and Charles Koch.  It is the principal funding source of the Tea Party Movement.  From 2010 to 2016 it spent $59 million on dark money legislation to defeat environmental and other protective legislation.   Citizens United is a conservative  not-for-profit Political Action Committee (PAC) founded in 1988.  In 2010 the organization won a U.S. Supreme Court case known as Citizens United v Federal Election Commission which struck down as unconstitutional a federal law prohibiting corporations and unions from making expenditures in connection with federal elections.  This Supreme Court decision has led to an explosion of dark money financing and influencing peddling which has had a tremendous impact on state and national elections.  A large portion of this spending has been spent in opposition to Democratic Party candidates.

While much of the dark money spent in political campaigns is in opposition to Democratic Party candidates, at times it is spent in opposition to Republican Party candidates.  In the state of Montana which has been a bastion and leader in campaign finance law legislation, dark money has been waging a war against conservative Republican candidates.  Republican candidates that have been in opposition to corporations that are not environmentally friendly have been targeted with dark money financed campaigns.  Dark money has also been used to promote legislation to oppose and destroy campaign finance laws.  What dark money is doing in Montana has become a blueprint used by PACs to attack and dismantle campaign finance laws in states across the nation.

An American nonpartisan, nonprofit organization named Issue One has published a report on the influence that dark money has on American politics.  The report titled Dark-Money-Illuminated-Report exposes the top 15 secretive dark money groups.  These groups account for 75% of the more than $800 million dollars spent between January 2010 and December 2016.  At the top of the list is the U.S. Chamber of Commerce with $130 million in dark money contributions used to sway voters and malign candidates.  Dark-Money-Illuminated-Report exposes roughly 400 donors and donor organizations that have funded dark money groups.  Information and research on these donors are available in an extensive, first-of-its-kind database.   This database contains nearly 1,200 transactions, each supported by reliable documentation.

Under patriotic names like Citizens United, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Americans for Prosperity and Americans for Job Security dark money financing to destroy campaign finance laws on statewide and national levels is an ongoing plan to minimize the power of the American people.  These newly empowered corporations, foreign nationals and foreign governments  do not have to report the millions of dollars that they are using to influence politicians and government policies.  By design, these PACs and covert influencers are not required by law to reveal the names of their contributors.  Thanks to the Citizens United Supreme Court ruling, using their money, corporations and foreign governments have the right to bring the American people under their domination and control.  This is the definition of subjugation and the birth of tyranny.

Is there a way you are able to remove me from that service?
