In the wake of the Mueller investigation, so-called President Donald J. Trump has once again managed to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory.  With the help of self-appointed Trump attorney, William Barr aka Attorney General Barr,  hubris (that’s putting it lightly), “Big Brain” Trump managed to confuse or deceive the majority of the American public into thinking that he was innocent of any wrongdoing associated with the Mueller investigation.  This was a relatively easy task considering that the majority of Americans and most of Congress did not read the 450-page, Two-volume report.  So, when Barr published his 4 page summary of the report declaring Trump exonerated, most of America fell for the okey-doke.  Trump was in the clear.  But, much like Pinky and the Brain, 2 cartoon characters that each week devise new, unsuccessful plans to take over the world, Trump immediately self-destructed.  Just one day after Special Counsel, Robert Mueller testified before Congress, Trump who we will now affectionately refer to as “The Brain” attempted to extort the Ukrainian President into interfering in the upcoming 2020 election by withholding military aid in exchange for non-existent dirt on Joe Biden and his son Hunter.  This event set the stage for a remarkable showdown: “Whistleblower Complaint and Impeachment vs Trump’s Big Brain.”  Like “The Brain”, Attorney General William “Pinky” Barr’s boss and partner in crime, Trump’s “Big Brain” is the gift that just keeps on giving and self-destructs as usual.

As evidenced by Trump’s recent confession of his crimes to the world via a news conference, it has become obvious that without “The Brain” leading the charge, the Democrats would never be able to impeach Trump.  Now thanks to “The Brain” and his implication of Attorney General William “Pinky” Barr in his conspiracy right alongside Rudy “Wiley Coyote” Giuliani, the Democrats now have an ironclad case for impeachment unless Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi develops a new case of cold feet which would surely cost her the speakership.  However, considering how “The Brain” continues to brag on the size of his brain along with unnecessary help from “Pinky” and “Wiley Coyote” impeachment is not just a certainty it is a reality that will cause Republicans to start scurrying like rats leaving a sinking ship.

The whistleblower complaint which was finally released to Congress on 26 September, more than a month after the legal deadline, very plainly details the constitutional “high crimes and misdemeanors” of abuse of power, bribery, extortion and conspiracy to violate election laws.  The Trump-appointed Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG), Mr. Atkinson investigated the complaint and thoroughly interviewed witnesses relevant to the complaint and found it to be credible and an “urgent concern” to the national security of the nation.  As stated on page 2 of the 9-page complaint, the actions of Donald Trump were as follows:

“Namely, he sought to pressure the Ukrainian leader to take actions to help the President’s 2020 reelection bid. According to the White House officials who had direct knowledge of the call, the President pressured Mr. Zelenski to…:” 

• initiate or continue an investigation into the activities of former Vice President Joseph Biden and his son, Hunter Biden;
• assist in purportedly uncovering that allegations of Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election originated in Ukraine, with a specific request that the Ukrainian leader locate and turn over servers used by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and examined by the U.S. cybersecurity firm Crowdstrike, which initially reported that Russian hackers had penetrated the DNC’s networks in 2016; and
• meet or speak with two people the President named explicitly as his personal envoys on these matters, Mr. Giuliani and Attorney General Barr, to whom the President referred multiple times in tandem.

Prior to the phone call, Trump placed a hold on congressionally approved Ukrainian defense funds totaling $390 million. The pressure that Trump applied to Ukrainian President Zulenskyy was in the form requesting Zulenskyy to initiate or continue to investigate Joe Biden, his son and cybersecurity firm Crowdstrike after Zulenskyy stated that Ukraine wanted to purchase the Javelin antitank missile defense system.  This was confirmed by Trump in the transcript memo of the 25 July, telephone call between the two.

President Zulenskyy: “We are ready to continue to cooperate for the next steps specifically we are almost ready to buy more Javelins from the United States for defense purposes.”

President Trump: “I would like you to do us a favor though because our country has been through a lot and Ukraine knows a lot about it. I would like you to find out what happened with this whole situation with Ukraine, they say Crowdstrike. .. I guess you have one of your wealthy people… The server, they say Ukraine has it. There are a lot of things that went on, the whole situation.  I think you’re surrounding yourself with some of the same people. I would like to have the Attorney General call you or your people and I would like you to get to the bottom of it.”

President Zelenskyy: “Yes it is. very important for me and everything that you just mentioned earlier. For me as a President, it is very important and we are open for any future cooperation. We are ready to open a new page on cooperation in relations between the United States and Ukraine.”

President Trump: “The other thing, There’s a lot of talk about Biden’s son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great.  Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it … It sounds horrible to me.”

When Trump released the content of this conversation in the transcript memo on 24 September, it was an open confession to committing the crimes mentioned in the whistleblower complaint.  The transcript confirms the activities mentioned in the whistleblower complaint and validates it as being proof of criminal activity.  To put it plainly, Trump asked a foreign President to interfere in the upcoming 2020 election.  The ask was in the form of requesting President Zelenskyy to open a corruption investigation into Joe Biden (Democratic frontrunner) and his son in exchange for the ability to buy Javelin missiles.  The pressure by Trump was not overt it was implied which is still a crime.  Ukraine is an American ally that is fighting for its existence against Russia which attacked the U.S. 2016 elections to put Trump in power.  The intent of the attack was admitted to by Vladimir Putin.  in 2014, Putin invaded Ukraine and captured Crimea which is territory that he refuses to give back.  The war continues on Ukraine’s eastern border which is the reason for the $390 million in defense funding approved by Congress.  To ensure his country’s survival, President Zelensky had no choice but to give in to Trump’s demands.  This is extortion committed by Trump through the utilization of foreign aid.  Thus, it is a constitutional abuse of power and impeachable under “high crimes and misdemeanors.”

The crimes committed by Trump, “The Brain” did not stop with the commission of the extortion that he admitted to with the release of the transcript memo.  As stated on pages 3-4 of the whistleblower complaint, “The Brain” participated in a criminal conspiracy by attempting a cover-up of the Ukrainian phone call:

“In the days following the phone call, I learned from multiple U.S. officials that senior White House officials had intervened to ‘lock down’ all record of the phone call, especially the official word-for-word transcript of the call that was produced—as is customary—by the White House Situation Room. This set of actions underscored to me that the White House officials understood the gravity of what had transpired in the call.”

• “White House officials told me that they were ‘directed’ by White House lawyers to remove the electronic transcript from the computer system in which such transcripts are typically stored for coordination, finalization, and distribution to Cabinet-level officials. Instead, the transcript was loaded into a separate electronic system that is otherwise used to store and handle classified information of an especially sensitive nature. One White House official described this act as an abuse of this electronic system because the call did not contain anything remotely sensitive from a national security perspective.”

Much like Trump’s alto ego from Pinky and The Brain whose daily goal is to “take over the world,” The Brain’s hubris and haphazard planning has resulted in a failed plan and a trail of irrefutable evidence that will cause his demise.  These actions on the part of “The Brain” including his open confession in the form of the transcript memo left Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats no choice but to open a formal impeachment investigation into “The Brain.”  The investigation is merely a formality which will allow the Democrats access to other evidence that Trump formally claimed was protected by executive privilege.  However, executive privilege cannot be used to protect criminal behavior.  Trump’s open admission of guilt is more than enough to impeach him.  The added evidence that the Democrats will now be able to acquire through their investigations will provide further proof that Trump and members of his administration have committed a criminal conspiracy against the American people.  Who those conspirators are can now be revealed and they will be exposed to criminal liability and not just impeachment.

In the transcript memo, Trump tells President Zelenskyy to communicate with Attorney General William Barr when dealing with the investigation into Biden and his son.  This reference puts William Barr who is remarkably similar to The Brains partner, “Pinky” in criminal jeopardy relating to The Brains plans to take over the world.  Like Pinky, Bill Barr is known to advise Trump.   And, despite his better judgment, enthusiastically goes along with The Brains plans often to his detriment.  If evidence is discovered by Democrats proving that William “Pinky” Barr is actively participating in the conspiracy to interfere in our 2020 elections with The Brain, he is subject to criminal prosecution, impeachment and disbarment.  According to the transcripts, Trump stated:

“The other thing, There’s a lot of talk about Biden’s son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great.  Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it … It sounds horrible to me.”

On page 4 of the whistleblower complaint on 26 July, one day after the Trump-Zelenskyy phone call:

“US Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker, accompanied by US Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland, met with Zelensky and other “Ukrainian political figures” in Kyiv, according to the whistleblower complaint. Volker and Sondland reportedly advised the Ukrainian leadership on how to “navigate” Trump’s demands of Zelensky.”

This evidence as provided in the whistleblower complaint provides proof that other Trump administration officials are participating in the conspiracy to interfere in the 2020 election. US Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker and Ambassador to the European Union, Gordon Sondland knew about Trump’s demands of Zelenskyy and willingly participated in the conspiracy. On Friday, 27 September, Kurt Volker resigned.  He later stated that he will be testifying before Congressional committees during the week of 30 September.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is now involved in the scandal and faces tremendous legal hurdles.  Pompeo has been subpoenaed by the House Committee on Foreign Affairs for documents related to aid provided by the State Department to Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani.  Pompeo’s State Department help to facilitate travel and meetings between Giuliani and members of Zelenskyy’s administration in reference to the 25 July, Trump phone call to the Ukrainian president.  The committee has set a 4 October, deadline for Pompeo to comply by providing the required documents including documents that Trump had previously claimed were protected by executive privilege.

The whistleblower complaint along with Trump’s transcript memo has started a path to impeachment that will provide incredible challenges for both William “Pinky” Barr and Donald “The Brain” Trump.  The web of this conspiracy dates as far back as December of 2018.  CNN has provided a complete timeline of the Ukrainian events in detail.^{1} When a thorough examination of the whistleblower complaint, the Trump transcript memo and the CNN timeline is conducted, the case for impeachment in Congress is overwhelming.  self-preservation may actually cause enough Republican Senators to bail from this sinking ship which would lead to a conviction in the Senate.  If that were to happen, you can expect that criminal prosecution of Pinky Barr and Rudy “Wiley Coyote” Giuliani will immediately follow.  Expect collateral damage to extend to Secretary of the Treasury Steve Mnuchin, Acting Director of National Intelligence Maguire, and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in the form of impeachments for obstruction of justice and contempt of Congress for their compliance with “the Brains” wishes.
