Wow! That’s saying a lot. But it’s true. This is not some crazy, wacko, unfounded conspiracy theory. Just look around and see for yourself. Today, at this very moment, what use to be the American democracy is now Trump Land. America is no more. We are now governed by a new type of dictatorship. This dictatorship has set aside the constitution for a new form of government. This government is not one of laws but one of men. Men that are greedy, dishonest, power-hungry, corrupt and in some cases insane. Case in point; would a sane person, one of sound mind and body (normal perception) commit a crime knowing that there were at least 20 extremely credible witnesses watching while that crime was being committed. Donald Trump did. Webster defines insanity as; a state of mind that prevents normal perception, behavior, or social interaction; seriously mentally ill. It is time for the American people to wake up and realize that if you’re not a Republican and you “Keep Drinking the Kool-Aid and in 2020 Your Vote Won’t Count” because Republicans and doing everything possible to nullify or invalidate your vote. So what flavor is this tasty Kool-Aid that is causing this insanity? It’s called Republican Patriotism. Republicans want you to believe that they are just as patriotic as the next man. This Republican Patriotism flavored Kool-Aid is being used to make you as insane as their fearless leader, Donald Trump. And, if you keep drinking it, “In 2020 Your Vote Won’t Count?” Although you may not believe that to be true, it is very true. It’s time to face the facts. So let’s examine the facts.
FACT ONE – Republicans are not patriotic “Patriotism is the quality of being patriotic; devotion to and vigorous support for one’s country.”
As exhibited by the countless number of times that Donald Trump has acquiesced to Vladimir Putin his attempts to discredit American intelligence agencies, other institutions, and attack our war heroes such as John McCain and former President Bush both of whom fought in wars to protect our freedoms. Trump is not patriotic.
Patriotism was the driving force that motivated the founding fathers to institute the “rule-of-law,” the constitution, the law of the land. The most important words in the constitution are at the very beginning, the Preamble. It is upon these words that the purpose and meaning of the constitution stand.
FACT TWO – Republicans don’t believe in the constitution
“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”
Trump is in violation of the preamble. None of his actions have been to “insure domestic tranquility.” Racial equality is essential to domestic tranquility in this country. His racist policies, racist rhetoric against congressional members that are ethnic minorities, his attempts to validate white supremacy and racist propaganda, in general, has incited racists and white supremacists to attack and murder American citizens that are not Caucasians. His attacks on the intelligence are not acts that “provide for the common defence.” His open invitation to foreign powers to interfere in our elections, do not “secure the Blessings of Liberty.”
FACTS THREE – Trump and Republican lawmakers are traitors
Traitor – “a person who betrays a friend, country, principle”
This is the principle that the president and Republican lawmakers have violated. In doing so, they have also betrayed the country:
“I…will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States”
Donald Trump and the entire Republican leadership in an attempt to defend Trump against impeachment for bribing a foreign government in an attempt to get that government to interfere in the 2020 election are promoting Russian propaganda. This propaganda was disproved by our intelligence community who in turn explained this to the Senate and Congress. In July, the Senate Intelligence Committee issued a report proving that it was the Russians that interfered in the 2016 election, not Ukraine. The top Russia expert in the country, Fiona Hill during congressional testimony explained that our national security is being compromised by the president and Republican lawmakers that are promoting the debunked Russian propaganda that Ukraine and not Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election. After her testimony, they stepped up their promotions of Putin’s propaganda and even opened Senate and Congressional investigations designed to prove this propaganda to be true. Simply put, they are lying to you with impunity. This is a betrayal of our country, their oaths of office and you. Still, they profess to be patriotic. They are betraying you and by definition, a traitor cannot be patriotic. Are you drinking this Kool-Aid?
FACT FOUR – Republicans fear losing power and will do anything to keep it
America is changing. Aside from evolving into Trump Land, America in the very near future will no longer be the country controlled by old, rich, white men. This demographic is the principal supporter of the Republican Party, their masters. According to many reports including the U.S. Census Bureau and the Brookings Institute {1}, by 2045 approximately twenty years from now, ethnic minorities will become the majority population base in America. The Republican Party has only one ethnic minority in congress and that person, Congressman Hurd of Texas has refused to run for re-election in 2020. There are no ethnic minority elected officials in Congress and the Republican Party has done nothing to recruit any. And, that’s because they are the party of racism and white supremacy. Without representing people of color, they are not representing the nation.
FACT FIVE – The Republican-controlled Supreme Court supports taking away your vote
In July of this year, the Republican-controlled Supreme Court refused to continue its role as the arbitrator and shield against partisan gerrymandering.{2} In recent years, Republican legislatures have been using gerrymandering as a means to deny people their right to representation by someone that would represent their interest. The Supreme Court has a long and standing history of rulings that have settled gerrymandering since our nation was founded. If you can’t elect a person that will represent you, your vote does not count. Chief Justice John Roberts and the four other Republican Justices have decided that the Court no longer has the authority to rule on gerrymandering cases. Since the 2010 census, Republicans have engaged in gerrymandering at the state level which has allowed them to re-draw congressional districts to favor Republican politicians. How does that the Republican Patriotism flavored Kool-Aid taste now?
Supreme Court No more gerrymandering cases
Another way to prevent your vote from counting is to prevent you from voting. Voter roll purging is the practice of removing eligible voters from state voter registration databases. Between 2016 and 2018, voter rolls around the country were purged of 17 million people that don’t tend to vote Republican in Republican-controlled states.{3} In other words, they don’t even want you to vote let alone count. Is that patriotic? Want more Kool-Aid?

FACT SIX – Trump may be a psychopath
In a September 28, 2017 article in Psychology Today titled “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump” excerpts are posted from a petition signed by more than 60,000 mental health professionals. John Gartner, Ph.D., is the founder of Duty to Warn, an organization intent on warning our country that we are in dire trouble due to our president’s mental instability. The group of mental health professionals in contradiction to an established practice of not commenting on the mental health of elected officials spoke to the mental health of Trump. The petition states:
“We, the undersigned mental health professionals, believe in our professional judgment that Donald Trump manifests a serious mental illness that renders him psychologically incapable of competently discharging the duties of President of the United States. And we respectfully request he be removed from office, according to article 4 of the 25th amendment to the Constitution, which states that the president will be replaced if he is ‘unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.’”
The Psychology Today article also included information on Dr. Bandy X. Lee of Yale University and author of the book “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump.” As stated in the article Miss Lee’s credentials include: “an M.D.; M.Div. (Master of Divinity); assistant clinical professor, Yale Law and Psychiatry Division; co-founder and director of the Violence and Health Study Group for the MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies; as well as co-leader of Academic Collaborators for the World Health Organization’s Violence Prevention Alliance. “ Miss Lee’s book was time-sensitive in that she and other contributors, and interested publishers felt an urgency to get the book into the hands of the public and governmental powers-that-be as soon as possible.
In the interest of providing context to the possibility that the president could possibly be mentally ill, the following description of a mental illness has been provided. According to the Society for the Study of Psychopathy, the traits of a psychopath includes {4):
- Lack of guilt/remorse
- Lack of empathy
- Lack of deep emotional attachments
- Narcissism
- Superficial charm
- Dishonesty
- Manipulativeness
- Reckless risk-taking
Trump and the Republicans are doing everything to keep from losing power and prevent your vote from counting in the next election and beyond. They are even working with a foreign power that is determined to destroy this nation, Russia and Vladimir Putin. Russia cheated you out of the 2016 election and Trump and the Republican Party with Putin’s help are trying to do it again in 2020. The only way to stop this is to force Republican lawmakers to join Democrats in impeaching Trump based upon the facts of the case. The truth speaks for itself. From Trump’s own mouth, he has proven that he is again seeking the aid of a foreign government to prevent your vote from counting. They want the outcome of the 2020 election to be predetermined which means that Republican Patriotism is a farce. Remember, “Keep Drinking the Kool-Aid and in 2020 Your Vote Won’t Count.”
